Big R Stores - Thornton

Looked around all night and early day to find vitamin for chicks or chickens, Walmart has advertised they had poultry vitamins on their website. Showed up and nothing, the one only store that advertised and DID have it was Big R stores!!! Never been or heard of this store. But the clerk was nothing but respectful and I lasted less than 10 minutes and came out happy as can with my items. The store itself was very clean, cute and big, a variety of items for all kinds of animals and not difficult to navigate, I truly liked this store, I almost went back to purchase one of their big cute stuffed animals. I loved it here!!

Good buys until it came to the dog toy. My dog tore it apart in literally less than five minutes, more like two. They refused to stand behind their product and take it back. It was ridiculous. They said because it was in the dog's mouth they would not return it. The girl was pleasant and helpful even though she couldn't assist. Very disappointed.

I come here for everything I need for my ducks and chickens. They have a good variety of foods and supplements for my animals and the workers are very friendly and knowledgeable about the type of things I have questions. Most of the staff seem to live on a farm or have done farm work because they know exactly what things work best and have helped my girlfriend and I on our journey of first time duck parents and having backyard chickens. Most of the staff are fairly young but are enthusiastic and just seem to be much better people then most people their age. They will search for things im looking for and not stop till they find it. The staff members that are a bit older I can tell have been there awhile and know the store and how things operate there very well and have worked with us many times when we got some chicken and duck feed that we werent happy with. They have a good selection on other farm type things like fence stuff, some tractor stuff, irrigation parts and a good selection of bolts and screws but most important to me about the store and especially the bolt section is that everything is clean and organized. Most other stores bolt sections are a mess with things left out

I have never experienced such good service, I misplaced a personal item in this store. Every associate that works there offered to help me find it and everyone did help me. They went over and above. They are a great team. Thank you very much.

It's a nice, clean store. I really like their garden and fence supplies with solid prices. It's a pretty quiet store, in and out. One annoying piece is the cashiers don't always have the SKU for the compost bags outside, so I often have to take photos ahead of time
